Visit to Liberty Terrace

Many of our Service Learning students, teachers, as well as a few family members headed to Liberty Terrace to deliver spring flowers and visit with the residents last week. A resident was waiting at the door for us to arrive and started clapping her hands and smiling as we came in the door. When asked how she was, she replied, "Better now that you're all here."

LC Kindness Chain

Share random acts of kindness that have been shown to you. Has someone held the door for you, smiled and said hi, or spread some kindness your way? Please share these random acts of kindness and get our chain growing.

Our Visit to Liberty Terrace Nursing Home

Despite the thunderstorm warnings, several service learning kids and their parents braved the weather and headed down the road to brighten Liberty Terrace Nursing Home's residents' day. We delivered spring flowers and smiles, practicing what we learned in Making Every Monday Matter. The residents were thrilled to see the L&C students' smiling faces. One lady told Ms. O, "It was the best day ever."

If you were able to attend, please share your reflection about our visit to the nursing home.
